Dr. Paul Epstein

Paul EpsteinBackground and Foundations

Since his 1984 course "Healing, Consciousness and Transformation," Paul has been living the question "Where's the Healing?" Being "holistic" goes beyond finding the right supplement, botanical extract, homeopathic remedy or trigger point. It is being able to contact the deeper essence of a person, whether you call it the spirit, soul or vital force. In contacting this deeper essence, the holistic physician is able to tap the person's true source of healing, and initiate a process that includes both healing and transformation.

Paul integrates mind-body therapies, natural medicines, Buddhist psychology, Mindfulness Meditation and psychotherapy into his multi-disciplined, whole-person, relationship centered approach. This distinctive "healing soup" philosophy is especially empowering and effective for people with stress related disorders, immune system issues and chronic degenerative diseases.

Dr. Epstein's background includes the co-founding and co-directing of the Israel Center for Mind-Body Medicine. He has taught holistic medicine and counseling on the undergraduate and graduate levels and has trained psychotherapists, social workers and mental health professionals, physicians, nurses and medical students, yoga teachers and other health care professionals in the art & science of Mind-Body Medicine.

Paul's Full Biography

Dr. Epstein's background includes the co-founding and co-directing of the Israel Center for Mind-Body Medicine. He has taught holistic medicine and counseling on the undergraduate and graduate levels and has trained medical students and physicians in the art & science of Mind-Body Medicine.

In guiding and supporting people in their self-healing and spiritual journeys, Dr. Epstein serves as a teacher and healing coach, encouraging an engaged conscious awareness and full participation to find, access and activate the healer within. Under his gentle yet powerful guidance, patients are led to look within and face their truth while listening for the meaning, message and opportunity of illness. His focus and therapeutic approach is to bring his unique talent of helping his patients live the questions of where is true healing, how to "be" and how one's biography becomes one's biology. Dr. Epstein combines this path of openhearted inquiry with practical no-nonsense "what-to-do" directions to regain health. A true melding of the Yin and Yang of medicine.

Before beginning formal medical training, Dr. Epstein served as a Montessori teacher.
