Cultivating Resilience - 2 class series

This interactive class on cultivating resilience is an integration of contemplative wisdom, relational attitudinal psychology, mindfulness based meditation practice, neuroplasticity and modern brain neuroscience and a compassionate practical focus on what  will help you here and now to enhance your health and facilitate mind-body healing.   We’ll discuss what resilience is and how we can re-wire our brain through mindfulness to strengthen it.  We’ll discuss its therapeutic benefits and its clinical application and integration in treating and preventing chronic disease.

 

Introduction to Mind-Body Medicine

Our diseases tell a story, not just about our cells, but about ourselves and our personal histories.  Learn how to listen for symptoms and inner wisdom using mind-body therapies of guided imagery, meditation and psychotherapy to discover the message and meaning hidden inside pain and symptoms.  Learn how to cultivate and awaken qualities and ways of being that lead into the heart of healing.  For everyone interested in healing, including Yoga teachers, healthcare professionals, caregivers and individuals on a healing journey.

 

 

 

Mindfulness Meditation as Medication - 3 class series

The best of times is now, facing life's challenges, experiencing life's joys! Through lecture, discussion, sharing, group support, learning mind-body skills of meditation, relaxation, stress reduction, attitudinal healing perspectives, the class will focus on learning to live life in the present moment, finding joy, peace, happiness and serenity in the midst of daily life's inevitable ups and downs.
